I love my clock. I've had it now for about 3 yrs. It still keeps time great plus it looks nice and its retro. Love it. Not sure why some others are having problems with theirs. It is an electric clock with battery back up.
This is a beautiful clock, but has a very common defect with the battery plate. After I inserted batteries on the underside of the clock, I turned it over, set it down on the table, only to have the battery plate fall out. There is no spring or screw to hold it in place. The plate only has a bent plastic clip that is not strong enough to maintain its position. It consistently falls out. It would have been better not to have a backup battery, than to have a battery compartment that will not stay closed.

This clock is fabulously designed. It is smart- looking indeed, yet won't keep the correct time. I do love it anyway, just resigned to be somewhat of a tardy employee!

Beautiful, easy to read dial but alarm didn't work

Been wanting this clock for the past couple of years and finally decided to use my gift certificates to get one. Little hesitant due to the reviews about the alarm but decided to go for it. Loved it when I opened the box but didn't realize how big it would be! I had it sent to work, so immediately go it up and running, expecting my co-worker to react at the alarm. Resat it 3 times, a full 30 minutes ahead of the actual time. Never so much as even a buzz. The light did finally start to blink on the third try but about 10 minutes after the actual time. Rather disappointed -- I would have kept if even without the working alarm if I had needed just another clock. Sadly, I returned it. Still would consider another one if I need just a clock in the future.
