This clock is very well made and the pre-alarm flashing light is nice. But the alarm sound is a monotone which can put one back to sleep. I also think it is a high price to pay.
I loved the look and design of this clock. And the color -nice beige. And the soft night light glow as many others did. Sorry to say, the bell alarm didn't work after 1 week. I think it worked 2 or 3 times and then it just stopped working- no sound when time for alarm as set. Although the idea of the flashing light is good - it didn't wake me up. Did not want to exchange it and be disappointed 2X. I love LLBean merchandise but this does not measure up. :-(
I liked the clock, but I returned it because I really wanted to use the light feature for waking up. However, I sleep on the left side of my bed and the light is on the left side. I would have to turn the clock so that the light faced me.
This clock takes me back to my childhood. I had one with a similar patina back then - a gentler time - and this one exudes a similar aura. The hands are quietly back lit so, at night, when I stir I can check the time and resume my slumber. Otherwise, easy to use, easy to set, and has a battery power option for those so inclined. I like it.
