I had to return the first clock (may have been damaged in transit) none of the hands moved...LLBean customer service quickly replaced. Love the retro look and size was larger than I expected. I especially like the feature of the soft light blinking for a couple of minutes before alarm sounds (can be switched off for alarm only) there is also a switch for dial backlighting. Clock has battery backup.
Looked promising, had a nice big face and both the option of using batteries or to an outlet; plus in a very cute jade color but it didn't work despite following the very specific instructions of turning the alarm settings a certain way. Maybe we had a factory lemon but it was still a downer.

ProsGreat Value, Performing as Expected
The moonbeam clock is a classic design. It keeps great time, and wakes you gently instead of scaring you to death. The muted face light is a nice touch. I love that it has customizable features: you can turn the clock face light on/off; you can choose between flashing light only, flashing light with bell, or bell only; the bell has high/low volume. The bell is friendly sounding, not clang-y like old alarm bells. The light starts off with low intensity, getting brighter as it awakens you. It also has a snooze button on top which is a nice feature. It also has battery back-up for power failures. When you pick it up, or flip any of the switches, it feels like a quality product. Highly recommended for anyone wanting vintage style that looks and works great.
