Love the look of my little yellow moonbean. I cannot say that the light beam wakes me up and a different sounding alarm. But that is OK - I love the look.

I bought this clock for my 93-year-old mom, who has poor eyesight and wanted an analog clock with a large dial and night-time back-lighting. The price for this clock was a good deal more than we'd spent for other cheap analog clocks that seemed to give out after 3-6 months. However, the other very good reviews for the Moon Beam Alarm Clock led me to buy it. It fits the bill in every way, except (1) the print on the back of the clock is so small that she can't set the clock on her own, and (2) we had to try the alarm function a couple of times before it worked -- it seems okay. The light-up alarm function was fine the first time we tried it. Also, the night-time back-lighting is just enough to read the time, but not so bright that it disturbs one's sleep. The blue color we purchased goes nicely with the colors in Mom's bedroom. I would recommend this clock, but do check how the alarms work when you receive it.
