I've had this clock in green for a year and half now and it still makes me smile when I see it on my nightstand. Works great, I rarely use the alarm, but it is loud enough to wake the soundest sleeper. Another great purchase from LL Bean.
I love the style of this clock. I didn't realize it was electric, that wasn't clear in the catalog, although not a problem. I hate waking to a ringing alarm and hoped the flashing light would be enough to wake me. Sometimes it is, (it works if I'm facing toward the clock) sometimes not. I usually need to have the audio alarm on as well, just in case. Overall, would recommend it.
I purchased this clock in the same color option (vanilla) 3 years ago. I love that alarm clock so I recently bought 2 more. The design has been updated however and I'm no longer a fan. The 3 big changes are that the word "snooze" is printed in black letters on the top of the clock, there is a dark vertical line in the left hand light portion of the clock (before it was monochromatic), and the color has gone from a soft soft yellowy off white to grandma beige. I'm not sure why they changed anything as the original design was perfect!!! I promptly returned my purchase.
