this sounded like the perfect set-up for the stage of life we are in - needing to wake one little one for school without waking the entire family - tried one - light alarm worked but alarm did not sound - contacted llbean - they sent a second alarm clock - so hoping it would work out - again - light alarm is fine - no alarm sounds - have worked with it - have followed all the directions multiple times - have turned the knobs the correct way - and no sound - it is going back AGAIN. Disappointed - especially for fifty dollars - we will look elsewhere -
I love this clock! I looked at it for a year before finally ordering it. I chose blue. The clock dial looks just like a full moon, a soft, gold shine. I am a child of the '50s, and it reminds me of clocks we had when I was a child. Haven't tried the alarm yet, but the instructions explain that the light on the dial gets brighter and brighter and the the alarm goes off with either a low alarm or louder alarm.
I have been wanting to purchase this clock for my guest room for over a year. I finally purchased it and just love, love, love it! It is a really nice size, but totally adorable. Be sure to pay attention to the instructions for setting the clock, as that is very important (they put this on the packaging very clearly, which is helpful). I love the look of it and the color is perfect. Very "Bakelite" in design, but lends itself to most every style.
There are lots of nice features on this alarm clock. The dial is nice and big, you can adjust the light level for the face and the alarm volume as well.
For the "waking to light" feature, I wish that the light would turn on gradually to simulate sunrise, rather than abrubtly blink on and off again.
