I always sleep with a night light on but I still could not read the clock with it on. This moon beam clock solved my problem. It took the place of my night light and I can now see the time at a glance...though the light is not too bright to be disturbing. I also hate to be startled awake. This light flashing feature is enough to coax me awake.....and if I do stay sleeping...the soft gentle beeping wakes me without a start! I chose yellow and it's a beauty. Reminds me of a full moon.
I purchased this clock for myself several years ago and have been so pleased that we recently purchased a second for my husband. I love the fact that when there is a power outage the time is kept and doesn't have to be re-set. We also like the ease of setting the time/alarms on a dial clock vs. the digital style. The soft glow of the clock face at night is very nice. We also like the option to wake gently with the flashing light, and have the back up bell alarm that comes on later if you don't respond to the light. Overall, we're very pleased with the clock features and performance as well as the vintage style... much nicer to look at than the typical black digital clock.
this is an excellent replica of the 1950 Westclock moonbeam clock. I liked the style, its sleek Retro look. I like the light coming on before the bell alarm, and with the light behind the dial, its easy to read at night.
