I really wanted to like this clock and it is pretty cool looking. I like having an analog display and the retro style. And I really wanted a pretty simple alarm clock. But although I think this model used to have a control to change the brightness of the backlight on the dial, now it does not. So, my only choices are too bright to sleep or off so that I can't see the time in the dark. And although I can hit the snooze button and then get up and fiddle with the alarm off button on the back, I can't reach up from bed and easily turn off the alarm while it's blinking before it makes noise. Lastly, it ticks audibly - sort of charming in a retro way until you can't fall asleep one night (possibly due to the too bright backlit dial :-) ). The clock sort of cost too much for the shortcomings it has.
This bedside clock is just what I was looking for.. lights the face in a very dark space. I bought all the colors, each for a different room. How did I live without a lit dial before? It's retro and fun and easy to set.. Could be a tiny bit smaller....

Love the moonbeam feature and the color blue. Looks great on my bedstand in a room that is decorated seaside nostalgic. Only disappointment is the lack of AM vs PM alarm feature. You have to turn off the alarm in the morning or it goes off at 5:30 every night. Then you have to turn it back on at night. I adjusted to awakening with the moonbeam in one night. Happy Birthday to me ~
