My husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I asked for the Moon Beam Alarm Clock from LLBean. He told me if that's what I wanted, to order it. It came in a few days, and it's beautiful! Art Deco and retro. The dial is lighted, but not brightly, and the face is large and easy to see, especially in the middle of the night. The bell has a tinkly ring, not the jarring one of a Big Ben alarm clock. The light blinks off and on on the left side of the clock, before the alarm goes off. Very cool! I've been using it, even though it's not Christmas, yet ; )

I have wanted one of these clocks for a long time. This was a birthday present (to myself), and I am just as happy with the gift as if someone had surprised me with the Moon Beam Clock.
The back light on the clock face is a big plus. I find the flashing light (alarm) to be a little weird, I'll continue with my radio alarm and NPR news in the morning instead.
The clock is larger than it looks in the catalogue. It looks elegant on the wicker chest.
I visited New England last month and stopped by LL Bean. On a whim, I bought the Moon Beam clock because it looked simple enough for me to use. All of the digital ones I own baffle me. Going off at all times. I'm old and can't figure them out. The Moon Beam is simple and wonderful to wake up to. The increasing gentle light wakes me and the bell alarm has only waken me once. Best buy in along time.
I bought a Moonbeam clock a few years ago, and I love it, especially the battery back-up. Recently I bought the grey, and the colour is much prettier than shown. I like the new features, such as the softer backlight, and having three choices of alarm: light, bell, or both. This clock is a winner all the way around!
