The alarm bell is too loud. It sounds exactly like a school yard recess bell and at about the same decible limit when it is next to the bed. Very disconcerting to wake up to. Also, the awakening light does not come on gradually as advertised, but rather, begins flashing on and off like a strobe light and stays that way until turned off. This was pretty intrusive visually when first waking up and did not offer a relaxing wakeup experience.
I received 2 of these as a gift but never used them still new until now. One works, and the other's ALARM DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. Can't figure out why. They look great and are so easy to use etc. Nevertheless, it's just odd that only one of them works. 2nd one just has to be defective. So I guess I can only rate them as 50/50 !!!

ProsDurable, ringer not loud enough
The clock is nice condition and pretty colors; the cons are that the ringer is not loud enough to wake anyone up.
