Received this clock as a gift a year ago. Loved it and it looks great at the lake. But I recently discovered that the alarm bell no longer works. The light alarm still works but no bell.

ProsPerforming as Expected
After reading many reviews, I decided to go ahead and order this lovely clock, as I've wanted one for a long time. I ordered the pale green, which is more vivid than I expected, and very pretty. So far the clock has kept perfect time, and all the functions are working properly. I thought the directions were quite clear on how to use the clock. The clock is larger than I expected, which is fine, and it does not tick, which I prefer on my nightstand. The blinking light is very cool and works for waking me. The chime is loud, but not ear-splitting. The backlight...ah the backlight. I love the backlight. It reminds me of a beautiful harvest moon. Not a bit too bright at night, and when I wake up to see what time it is, I am soothed back to sleep by this soft, amber glow. A little pricey, but worth it for the ambience.
I really like this clock. The backlight is just bright enough to see what time it is in the dark and the light green color goes perfectly with my bedroom decor.
The Moon Beam Clock works very well for me. I use it on the 'light only' setting, although I did try out the bell alarm to see what it sounds like. I was hoping the bell would be sort of calm and soothing to awaken to like the light, but it sounds like an old-fashioned alarm clock. The flashing light intensifies gradually and then starts over. It has a ten minute snooze that you can use as well. I like gradually awakening to this in the mornings.
