This clock got my attention right away because of the nice look, color and background screen being the color and design it is...but when I received this and tested out the alarm feature, it got a bit tricky in the use of how the alarm worked, which wasn't user friendly. In addition, when I got it to work, the alarm bell rang so loudly, it startled everything in the house. I initially wanted to use this in my son's room to give him a friendly ring when waking up and time for school, but knowing it will be too startling and loud to use as a wake up call, have just kept this around the house for decoration and not put to multiple use, which for the price I would've wanted to use for these purposes. Wish there was a volume setting to adjust.
I loved my first Moon Beam clock but unfortunately the replacement bulbs were not available anywhere. I called to see what Customer Service would suggest and they said I could send it back and get the new version. I wish I'd taken the time to read the reviews before I did as it took three attempts to finally receive a clock that had a working alarm. Even this one is defective as it will not function on "BELL", only "LIGHT & BELL". I have given up on trying to find one that actually performs the way it is supposed to. I would have been better off keeping the old clock without the flashing light.
I love it -- a bit bigger than I expected but I hadn't paid close attention to the specs listed online. It is retro which is my taste. Loud alarm -- which is perfect for me, and my hard of hearing husband.
I love this clock! Oh my, can't say enough good about it. Makes me smile when I walk in my bedroom. I got the grey. It is lovely and goes with my decor. Sounds great. Easy to set for me. I got home from a concert outdoors last night and walked in my bedroom and it was lovely to see the moonbeam face.
