I was a bit hesitant to buy this clock, but I absolutely love it. It is easy to set, the alarm is fabulous (both the light and the bell) and it looks classy on my nightstand. The snooze on the top is easy to "find" whilst in coming-out-of-deep-slumber mode. I am very glad that I purchased this clock. I am considering buying another one for our guest bedroom.
I know, it is unreasonable to expect a clock that can keep time for this kind of money. And, this clock technology has only been around since 1950, so it is still in its infancy. But, still, I am upset that my yellow clock just stops. I thought it was a fluke, so I had LL Bean send me another one, but that one stopped too. So, I give up. I will see if I can find a clock that actually works somewhere else. Maybe MIT can figure out this whole time thing...

One explanation may be that the clock was plugged into a high-voltage outlet intended for a large appliance. This may have caused a power surge that stopped the clock.

I love the vintage look of my vanilla clock. The light alarm feature works well and that is what I use. The snooze is on top, but to turn off the alarm you have to turn it around and fumble with the toggle, hence the 4. The bell that goes off if you don't "answer" the light would wake the dead! Classic Big Ben voice.
This clock emits a very soft light, which is perfect for me. I have not had an occasion to use the alarm, because my internal clock is set for 2:30 a.m. I love this clock!
