This is the fourth Moon Beam clock I have bought. It reminds me of a clock my grandmother had next to her bed. Both of our girls have one and now I purchased the blue one for my new grandson. It has a soft glow on the face of the clock which is perfect for the middle of the night. The unusual light teal blue looks pretty in a teal room. The wake up mode is gentle and gradual.
Love these clocks. I have bought 4 of these for the lake home. They have a back ground light that you can have on or off. Also you can use batteries or plug them in. The battrery option is great if you tend to lose electicity as we do on the lake. And cute alarm choices.
This is a beautiful clock--I got it in yellow--with a large, easily readable face that is lighted at night. The retro look is appealing. My only criticism, and it's a small one, is that it ticks, i.e., you can hear the ticking. This seems completely unnecessary for an electric clock that often will be within close hearing and reaching distance. The ticking sound isn't very loud but for anyone with sensitive hearing it might be an annoyance. Why it was designed to tick is beyond me. Other than that I like the clock very much. Not cheap but well-made (except for the ticking) and looks good.
I ditched my digital clock because of the brightness which inevitably wakes me further when I glance at it if I wake during the night. This clock face has a soft, warm glow that does not bother me at all. I disagree with one reviewer who stated that the LED light was not bright enough. I used the alarm for the first time this morning and woke instantly from the ultra-bright blinking light. Thank goodness this light blinks for five minutes before going to the "bell" alarm. I tested it and the bell is not a gentle sound. It is quite loud and made me jump, but you can opt out of the use of the bell altogether by switching it to light only mode. I thought that the blue would clash with my bedroom but my husband wanted that color. Surprisingly, it blends just great even though I don't have anything that color in there now. It has such a pretty, milky blue color and looks classic. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and I'm so glad I finally forked out the money for it. I don't like waking to sounds of any kind as it sort of puts me in a bad mood. I'm also surprised at what a big difference this little clock has made to the feel of my bedroom in general because it just looks so nice compared to the ugly electronic digital ones.
