Not only is this a handsome clock, but I can see the time clearly no matter what time it is. The lighted dial is just bright enough to read the time but not too bright to interfer with sleep. The best feature is the alarm which is a softly blinking light. No more cursing at a loud alarm. This is truly a peaceful way to wake up.
Got this clock for my daughter for Christmas - she's been wanting it for a couple of years (along with lots of other stuff of course). Well it is well built, good features such as a light alarm, a sound alarm and your choice to set it for either or both.
This is a very cute retro clock. It's advertised to "wake you up," but "keep you awake" might be more accurate. A loud click with every movement of the second hand drove me crazy, and I had to move it out of the bedroom.
I don't like being woken-up in the morning by an obnoxious alarm, I find the flasing light of the moonbeam alarm clock to be just as effective and far more pleasant. Also, its retro look is very appealing and LL Bean is the only place that offers this item in a variety of colors; I got mine in dove grey. Great item!
