The first clock I received was essentially nonfunctioning, but spectacular Customer Service replaced it within days. It has a great look, night and day, and a really (really) rattling and loud alarm, which actually wakes me. The "priming" light is a nice touch, but it doesn't do a thing to interrupt my sleep. All in all, a really neat bit of "vintage."
This is a great clock! I love the retro look and color. I have 2 different colors. It's nice to be able to use the light and/or alarm to wake up depending on your personal needs. We occasionally have power outages and the battery back-up gives good peace of mind that we won't oversleep.
We wanted something that looks nice to sit on the bed back; this is it. The fact that it has a light and audible alarm are a bonus. Very retro, very modern: perfect.
It'd have five stars, except for the dial markings within the hour: there are four such markings, which makes no sense, and which divide the hour into five 12 minute segments. Also, the markings for the selection of alarm bell & alarm flashing light in the rear are not well designed. Once one learns to manage those booboos, it's quite satisfactory.
