If you think a light will wake you up, you're probably a light sleeper. Except, this isn't a light that slowly gets brighter, this is a flashing light. Like a strobe light. Not soothing. And if you miss that, the alarm is the loudest alarm I've ever heard. My heart is racing by the time I shut it off. Definitely not a gentle way to wake up in the morning. And the person you sleep with (and pets) will be just as shocked. Nice looking clock, doesn't take up much space, but starts my day off with too much drama.
I love this clock! This is the second one that I bought. It gives you options on how you would like to wake. Also classic design and sturdy construction; Bean's never disappoints!

I like the back-lighted clock face, the two-step alarm (flashing light and then a loud sound), the battery backup, and the solid construction. I also like the gray color, although other colors are available.
