The alarm worked well for a few months, but one day it stopped working--both the audible bell and the flashing lights stopped functioning. I'm in the process now of exchanging the item for a new one.
The first two clocks had problems with the light dial switch (and one with the alarm sound). We asked for another to be hand checked prior to shipment. It works fine. The face is large and easy to read at night. The alarm bell has a "nostalgic" feel. Battery backup is a good feature. Couples with different schedules might want two clocks with the flashing light for the earlier time.
I bought this clock a few years ago. It looks great in the cool pink colour. Runs well...always on time. The one thing I didn't like is the size...it's a bit large on the bedside table. However it's easy to read at night... with the bright face. All in all a great purchase.
