Last year I remodeled and painted the original master suite/now guest room in our 1950s ranch house. When I read that the Moonbeam clock was first marketed in the 1950s, I bought one thinking it would be perfect for the guest bedroom. However, I liked it so much that it is residing on my nightstand! The softly lit clock face reminds me of moonlight and provides just enough of a glow to double as a night light. Having a choice of waking to a blinking light, an alarm or a combo of both is perfect for just about any kind of sleeper. This clock just makes me happy!
Good looking retro look with modern function. Love the back up battery feature as our area frequently looses power even for a few seconds. Tired of resetting the digital clocks. Also like the lighting options and and simple alarm ring. Loved the 1st one, so bought another when my daughter took it off to college.
I like this clock. It's cute, but probably bigger than you would expect. I did not pay attention to the dimensions, but remember other reviews mentioning the size. So far the light does not even begin to wake me. The bell sure does, though! It's quite loud- I would compare it to sleeping in a firehouse and being woken by the fire alarm. Louder then I would like, but I only use it a couple times a week. If I had to use it every day, I might reconsider. The attractiveness of the clock makes up for the excessively loud ringing alarm. I'm glad I bought it.
I bought this for my mother as a gift. She loves it! It's a high-quality item at an affordable price and I intend to buy one for myself. I love the retro-look and the variety of colors.
