First time I recieved the clock, it was broken (one of the hands had fallen off and was just rattling around inside the clock). I called customer service and they were wonderful - they overnighted a new clock to me. The second clock was not broken, but the actual alarm functionality on this model is just horrible. You have to remember to turn on the alarm each night (you can't just leave it on for 6am...you have to reset it every night) and the alarm sound is horribly jangly and startling. and the only way to turn it off is with a tiny tiny switch in the back of the clock (no big button to push), which I hated as well.

I received my clock just a few days after the order was placed. We just purchased a house built in 1952 and this clock was featured in the September 8 1952 Life magazine. I opened my L L Bean catalog and saw the same clock with updates! I just had to have it on my bedside table. It looks great! I love it!
These is my 3rd moonbeam clock. Now all the bedrooms in my home have one. It is an excellent alarm clock a soft light blinks on and off first and if that doesn't wake you up the alarm will kick in. Great clock!
