ProsDurable, Performing as Expected, reasonably priced
Moonbeam is easy to read with bold hands on a simple dial and can be easily seen in a totally dark or fully lit room. It is about the size of a large, deli sandwich. The back light can be turned off and on at any time. Back light is not intrusive for me, a sleeper who loves total darkness. It is wonderfully uncomplicated to set the alarm and time. First alarm warning is a flashing light which has no effect on my waking, (though it probably would if I awakened at the same time every day and expected to awaken at that time). The alarm is a basic jangling ring and loud enough to ensure a quick response. The clock has received compliments re: its color (green) and glow, ease of use and retro design. I love it and so does my husband who is a dark room sleeper too but still wants to see the time in the middle of the night. I've been using the clock for a month and so far it has been durable and reliable.
No negative issues here. I followed the instructions, set the clock up and presto, I had a wonderful looking clock that I can see in the middle of the night that keeps good time and has a "wake the dead" alarm feature as well as a flashing light alarm feature for those so inclined. I will likely buy another for our guest bedroom. If I were in charge of design and engineering with this one I would change the one way only setting adjusters but the instructions are quite clear and also featured on the clock next to the adjusters so one only has to pay attention when using them.
This is my 2nd Moonbeam clock. I'm putting one in my guest room also. They are super easy to use, have a great glow as a nightlight and are very reliable. And they are very retro. Excellent clock.
