I love this clock. the face is large and you can adjust the illunination to your liking. the design is also fun. I ordeded a second clock for another bedroom because I liked it so much. have only had for about a month so I will see if there are any problems as others have said.
I bought this clock because it is reminiscent of my childhood. I remember the comfort of the lighted face and the overall appearance is pure nostalgia. It has been keeping perfect time since it arrived last week. My sole concern thus far is that the internal light could be defective. Initially I could not get it to operate. An accidental knock got the light to come on and it is still burning a week later, so fingers crossed. One caution about this clock -- it is a corded electric clock. For some reason, I did not realize that when I ordered it. Of course the original was electric, as most clocks of this type were 50 years ago, but I wrongly thought this was a battery-operated facsimile. That being said, I'm happy with the clock as long as the lighted face continues to operate, as that is the appeal of this clock. For the price I paid, it may not be as durable as I had hoped.
What a wonderful clock and beautiful addition to my bedroom. The color (green) is perfect and so much nicer than others being sold that are more "neon". The glow of the face in the night is so comforting and relaxing-not too bright or overpowering....just like a full moon glowing. Love the heavy quality feel of the materials and the workmanship, too. The bell alarm is a bit more jarring than I expected, but it does wake me up! The light pre-wake-up is a very nice touch. All in all very glad I went ahead and purchased this clock after waiting for a few months to make up my mind :)
I bought this clock for my daughter who seemed to have a tough time getting up for school. It was a great purchase! It wakes her up gently and yet, is effective in getting her up. The bell is even pleasant to the ear.
My only frustration is that the rubber grippers on the bottom stick to the nightstand so tight they come off when the clock is repositioned.
