I wanted an attractive table clock that had a large face and numbers so I could place it on a table to see it from the bed. This clock fits all my requirements - easy to see and easy to set. However, I sent the same clock as a gift and the recipient placed it closer to the bed and said it ticked too loud. I would also like it better if it had a removable cord so I could run it just on batteries and not have the cord showing.
I really love this clock. It looks nice on my nightstand, is very easy to read, and I like to keep the muted dial light on at night so I can see what time it is if I awaken in the dark. It's a substantial clock. I'm planning on ordering at least 2 more for other bedrooms in the house. I would give it a try if you're considering it - I am really happy I did!
This clock is retro-styled, but fits into my room beautifully...I like the great features on it - such as the battery back-up in case of power failure....I don't use the alarm feature, as I am retired, but enjoy the lit-up dial when I wake up in the night. The quiet light is not obtrusive, either.
I waited a long time to order this clock because it's a little pricey for an alarm clock. So glad I finally broke down! Clock is perfect size and I am able to see it, even though it's about 8 feet from my bed and I am near sighted. I purchased the celadon green since they did not have nickle in this clock and it's a beautiful nice color that fits right in with my dark green bedroom. Alarm is perfect, light awakens me before alarm sounds. Face of clock illuminates kind of an ivory color, again fine for my decor. Originally I wanted the Big Ben clock but decided on this one when I read the proportions of the clocks. This one's larger and thought it would be more visible from my dresser. Clock is also very easy to set. If you are considering this clock I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
