I love this clock. The light is soft and the alarm sound wakes me with a low sound. I was happy to see that it plugs into an electric outlet, and does not need batteries. It has the retro look that fits perfectly into my bedroom decor.
the "wake up" light feature starts the morning in a much more civilized manner than previous alarm clocks. The style of the clock fits into the decor of my apartment and I loved the fact that there were so many colors to choose from. The instructions which came with the clock were specific and clearly written. I would highly recommend this alarm clock
I am SO sick of alarm clocks with a jarring electronic BEEEEEEEEP to wake you up. This is a great, old-fashioned clock that sounds like a real bell. It's enough to wake even this sound sleeper, but it's not too jarring. And the light that precedes the alarm is also helpful for waking up gently. One note: the description isn't very clear about this, but it is an electric clock, and has to be plugged into a standard electrical outlet.
I agree with the previous reviewer, that for a $39 clock, they should include a simple ratchet that prevents you from turning the knobs the wrong way.
I like the look of the clock and way the alarm works. It starts out with flashing light but then goes to a very loud alarm. No danger of sleeping thru it! The clock is electric with a battery back-up. It is easy to set and I like the lighted face. But dials on back are very small and owner's manual warns you strongly not to turn dials wrong way or you will break the clock. I would suggest making the dials larger and only able to turn the one direction.
