This clock is so classic. It has a gentle back light, which you can choose to turn on or off. The alarm has two volume settings as well. I love it! Seeing the happy face of my alarm clock every morning makes getting up more pleasant.
I would have to say this is one of my favorite things. If only it could make the bed...
Bought this at an outlet store for my daughter who had been wanting one. I wouldn't buy her one because it was $50 normally. It was an amazing $7.50 at the outlet store. I found out why. The bell would not ring. I returned it to a different outlet store for an exchange or refund. They actually had one. The clerk thought we should check it and I'm glad she did because that one had the same problem. The manager was extremely helpful and called the main store to see if any were in stock and see if they would send me a new one and honor the price. To their credit they did and I received the new one in two days. We plugged it and guess what? The ringer still didn't work. This one was a little better because it did ring on the ring and light option but didn't work on the ring only selection. 5 stars for service one star on the product.
The clock is well built, with clear markings on the back that show what direction to turn the knobs to set the time and alarm.
The alarm light is nice and gentle. The bell alarm that follows 5 minutes of light is nice too. Bell volume has two loudness settings. The low setting is not too loud and I enjoy waking up to it. This clock is a nice change from a digital clock. I've concluded that I really don't need to know time to the minute when I wake up, so the analog clock face works just fine.
It was great for awhile, then the alarm broke. Now it's just a clock. Very cheaply made of a rattley plastic. Great concept but it's more for a kids room. Not classy at all.
