Our 7-year-old daughter saw this clock in the LL Bean catalog and liked how it looked, so she told me that we should get it as a surprise for Mommy. We had been having tough luck with other alarm clocks that were just not reliable for various reasons. The LL Bean clock seemed kind of expensive to me but I went ahead and ordered it. Daughter chose the color based on the color of the bedroom wall. The LL Bean rep with whom I spoke on the phone was very helpful with answering my questions and placing the order. The clock arrived about a week later, was packaged well, and WOW! We love this clock; its features are perfect for us. (Other reviewers have mentioned the features so I won't go into details here.) Our daughter's choice of the color was right on the money. Speaking of money, I got a bit of a deal on the clock because I applied for an LL Bean credit card when I ordered. This was kind of an annoying process and it took up more time than I would have liked - but as I mentioned, it did save me a few bucks. Oh, and Mommy loved her surprise... even though Daughter "spilled the LL beans" (ha ha) before Mommy saw the clock. Thanks for reading.
The Moonbeam clock is positively wonderful. It looks great and works fantastically! I haven't overslept or gotten mad at an alarm going off since I bought it. I should have bought it earlier.
