Love this clock!! I have been on the fence. yellow or green for weeks. Finally picked the yellow and I am so happy. I love the size and the soft light behind the dial. THIS IS THE CLOCK FOR ME!!
I should have listened to all the people who said the alarm did not work. I am very surprised that L.L. Bean would continue to sell a product with so many quality issues. Very disappointed. Maybe I am being unreasonable, but I think an alarm clock should actually have an alarm that works.
This little gem made my day! I grew up in a household with the real Moon Bean clocks and never thought much of them. Time really changes perspectives :) Now that I'm an adult, those old clocks crossed my mind and I set out to find one. I was surprised to see L.L. Bean had them and at a reasonable price (vs. other sources). Plus, the free shipping! So my hardest choice was picking the color, but now a pistachio green "classic" lights up my days & nights. Its large, warm glowing face is much more pleasant to look at in the middle of the night instead of a blinding iPhone. The alarm has 2 sound levels and is only optional, which I like. The side light blinks on and off prior to the alarm and its light changes in intensity, too.
I look at this clock everyday and it makes me smile. Nice treat!
Very happy with the classic look of the clock as well as its three alarm functions (light only, light and sound, sound only). The lit face produces soft glow, similar to that of a moonlight. I love the feature of just the flashing light that is enough to wake me up. I also like another feature when the light starts flashing 5 minutes before the alarm sounds. The snooze button is easily accessible and is recurring every 10 minutes for an hour. I appreciate the soundless feature as it does not wake up anybody but me. I don't know how I lived without the alarm clock with soundless feature before!
