Got this for my wife. It looked nice but the alarm didn't work LLBean was SUPER about sending another one but that didn't work either. So we sent both back. Stick with clothes guys.
Not only is this clock attractive in its choice of colors, but it wakes one up gradually with a gentle light until time for the alarm to ring or one may choose just the alarm option. The back-up battery makes the problem of electric shortages/resetting the time no longer a nuisance or necessity. The perfect size for a table and large enough dial for one to read easily! What a pleasant way to begin the waking process!
I love my new Moon Beam Alarm Clock on so many levels. First of all, I can read it at night! It's important to me to know what time it is - and how much longer I can sleep - when I wake up in the middle of the night. The numbers are clear and the face is bright enough without being so bright as to disturb my sleep. In addition, I love the art deco design and the sweet green color that complements my decor. It's pleasing and pretty to look at - very important! I have to admit that being awakened to a gradually brightening light is a great idea - although not very effective for me - too subtle! But there's always the audible tone to fall back on.
This clock looks exactly like what I wanted. Checked it out at the local L.L. Bean and seemed perfect, but they didn't have my color.
Great service from L.L. Bean (as usual) and looks better in person than on the website. Unfortunately, we have to move it to the guest bedroom. My husband can hear the ticking from the nightstand on the other side of a king size bed. Many reviews said it was "silent." But it's quite loud and keeps us up at night.
If they could make this with a sweep second hand (like their Big Ben clocks) it would be much better (and we'd probably buy a number of them for the house).
Very customizable ... but I wish they had 2 settings for the night-glow brightness, a little dimmer would make it perfect!
