We have had a Moon Beam Alarm Clock for 7 years; it's the best clock we've ever owned. Because it runs on either batteries or electricity, when we have a thunderstorm and loose power, our clock keeps right on going. We take long summer trips in our camper and as we drive down the road - the clock keeps ticking waiting patiently to be plugged in again at the next campground. The soft Moon Beam light is perfect at night . . . it's soft glow always visible and very reassuring. We just bought another Moon Beam clock to give to our daughter.
I love the look of this clock and am very disappointed that the alarm bell doesn't work. Sometimes it goes off properly, but mostly it doesn't. I've tried it several times just to make sure I wasn't setting it wrong. Sometimes it just randomly rings.
I also thought that the light would just stay on when the alarm sounded, but it flashes on and off. A little jarring.
