It was so so cool looking...love the vintage look...and MOST IMPORTANTLY...It does WAKE ME UP!! The soft light to the left of the clock face starts blinking several times before the actual alarm goes off. It is a pleasant wake up experience. Highly Recommend.
I love this clock! Waking up to a flashing light rather than a piercing alarm is so pleasant. I thought the price was a little high for an alarm clock, but it is well worth the money spent. I am not a morning person and I despise the jolt of an alarm clock. I set this clock on both light and bell to wake up. If the light doesn't wake me up the bell does. The bell is loud but pleasant and should wake up any sound sleeper. The snooze works perfectly too. Amongst other things, it is really cute with a large softly lit face that can be turned on or off. A great purchase!
This is a very attractive clock. I like the retro look.
I tried to find out before purchasing it whether the light gradually brightened. It doesn't, but is a gentle, blinking light. It does indeed wake me up, but isn't jarring like an alarm sound is. I haven't tried the alarm sound yet, so can't describe that feature.
