The defining glory of my moon beam alarm clock came when my sister-in-law recently visited my home, fell head over heels in love with my clock and proceeded to order one just like it. (It seems my clock reminded her of a favorite clock her mother had owned years ago). My clock keeps perfect time, lights up just like the ad read, blends perfectly with my color scheme and displays beautifully. Thanks L.L.Bean.
I have spent 2013 trying different alarm clocks -- not by choice mind you. This is the one that works and will not be returned. I also like the look of it but that was not essential. I love the old fasioned ring and you can choose a high or low sound. Perfect!
The bell on this clock does not work properly. SOMETIMES it rings, but not always. When it does ring, it does not ring at the time it is set to ring. I'll be returning it because my husband lies awake worrying that it WON'T wake him up if he goes to sleep.
I love this nostalgic design. The back light is soft, and the alarm sound is soft, the description in the catalog is accurate, and the quality is LLBean. I have the green color clock in my guest bedroom and it looks fine. I'd like one of every color. I love it.
