This is a very nice retro look for a bedroom or office. The night light feature is very calming and easy to read without keeping you awake. The second hand can be heard if you are listening for it. The blue color is actually more aqua-- a pretty color but it does not go with my décor. If I had found the updated usb clock in Lake or Grey I would have purchased that instead. Unfortunately, it is just ok as an alarm clock. In fact, I overslept one day this week (not sure why, I guess I turned it off or hit the snooze button too many times). The light should ideally come on before the alarm does to slowly awaken you. Other considerations are that the alarm must be set every night and that it must be turned off in morning on the back of the clock (or it will ring 12 hours later). This alarm clock is great for a guest room but is not so great as an everyday alarm clock.
I have had my moon beam clock for over ten years and love waking up to the soft blinking light, makes for the start of a good day. I also love the Retro look of the clock.
I would have given it five stars but the alarm no longer works. It keeps excellent time and is very attractive. It was a bit expensive to break so quickly.
I originally bought this clock in November of 2014 - I am now sending the second one back. For $50 this is overpriced and unreliable. I'm really disappointed in the quality and wondering whether or not the alarm will go off doesn't make for a good nights sleep either. This should be pulled.
