My Mom & Dad had a Big Ben alarm clock when I was a kid and I've always wanted one! My bedroom is dark so it is so nice to wake up with the light going off on the alarm clock...and if that doesn't wake me then the audible goes off. Love the vintage green color too! My duvet is red and tan and it looks great next to it!
This is the best alarm clock that I have seen in many years. It is larger than it appears in the picture. It is very easy to see the hands of the clock from across the room. I have always had issues with the backlighting on alarm clocks. They always seem to be either so dim that you cannot see them from across the room or so bright that they look like the beam from a lighthouse. The backlighting on this clock is perfect. I can easily see the hands to read the time in a dark room, and yet it is not so bright that it keeps me up. I have not tried the alarm yet, but you do have the option of either getting up to an alarm sound or a light on the side of the clock, or both. My brother and I each had Big Ben clocks in our bedrooms when we were in school over 50 years ago and it is nice to see that they are still making great products.
Love the size, the color (I got the green), the light is just right, not too bright. Have this in a second home so I've not used the alarm much yet so didn't give 5 stars since I've not used all the features. In a digital world, it's nice to have an analog clock with a great vintage look. Has kept great time so far and I like it enough to consider purchasing another one.
