This is the 3rd time that I have purchased this clock. 2 for myself and 1 for a friend. The first one I purchased for myself lasted over 10 years before the quality of the alarm diminished. The new one has more features than the first. One is allowed to control the loudness of the alarm. Love it and also the new colors that it comes in.
I bought a moonbeam clock years ago and LOVE it. But the bell was starting to sound weird, so I got a new one. The basic design is the same, with a few new features that are nice: the optional backlight on the clock face, the option to have the light/bell/light+bell alarm. However: you can only hit snooze 3x before the alarm shuts off automatically. Also, the alarm shuts off after 60 minutes. (I am a determined snoozer and hit snooze for more than 30 min). I also don't think the light is the same. My original is the yellow, I tried the blue and the light didn't wake me up. I exchanged for another yellow but the light still isn't as bright as my original one. Considering whether to keep it or go back to my old one until it dies altogether.
I had purchased another of these alarms a few years back and the alarm setting mechanism had stopped functioning properly so I returned it for a new one. This new one has many more features, a softer backlight on the face and a softer wake-up light. I am very pleased with my purchase. It is a very decorative necessity.
I liked the look of the clock and was looking forward to waking up to something besides a jolting alarm. However, my husband and I both decided the clock had to be returned because of the irritating "Click...click...click..." of the second hand movement.
