Read the reviews about it being loud (ticking). I could not hear it and I'm a light sleeper. My ear had to be w/in 2 inches of the unit. I have no trouble setting time as was noted. I love the fact that it's a silent alarm --also awakens though to bell or light/bell. It awakens me without disturbing my husband --with different sleep pattern. Also love the lighted dial. This was described as a nightlight. It's much more muted than that; doesn't interfere with sleep at all. Overall, EXCELLENT clock. Won't go back to digital.
I've wanted an analog clock for years and finally my digital broke. I love the look of this clock and it's really easy to use, unlike the digital. I love the soft moon face in the middle of the night. And with battery back up I hope to not lose time as I used to.
I ordered 2 of these clocks for my guest bedrooms. They look great! I haven't used the alarm function yet and I would have liked the light on the side to be used as a night light. The face of the clock illuminates if you want it to so that gives some light. As usual this LLBean product is very nice.
