I'm a female, almost 5'2", and about 155 lbs. I ordered a Medium. I wanted a sweater that was comfortable to wear around the house and around the neighbourhood for walks and such. It's warm and snuggly. It's pricey for a sweatshirt (then again, I'm a broke college kid and haven't started making actual money yet), so I probably wouldn't buy another just yet. I think I'll get one for my Dad for Christmas, though.
I've had it for about a year now and after multiple washings, there is a bit of stitching fray on the letters. Since I don't really wear it "out", I don't really mind. Just a warning though.
I love this sweatshirt, except I have one big beef with it ... the stitching came apart after the first wash. I wash all my Bean sweatshirts on delicate, and I never dry them (I have a fear of shrinkage) so when this came out of the wash with every letter's stitching coming out, I was really disappointed. I am going to return it, and try again with another, hoping that maybe this was a fluke.
I am a big fan of sweatshirts and I believe you'd be hard pressed to find another on the market as good as Bean's. These are very high quality and extremely comfortable. They do not shrink. I also think they look great. I have 3 different styles in different colors but they all are five stars. I lounge around the house in these and can just throw on jeans and I'm out the door which makes the item very versatile. Highly recommended if your looking for the perfect sweatshirt for yourself or a loved one.
