The quality and fit are very good, so I regret having to return this. I slipped it on over a black LL Bean, long sleeve poly polo shirt. When I took it off the shirt was covered with white lint. I washed and dried the sweat shirt, and slipped it on the same shirt. Same problem. Perhaps after repeated washing the problem would correct itself. Of course, if you don't plan to wear anything under the sweat shirt this may not be seen as a problem.
I am a woman who purchased this sweatshirt for myself. I did look at the ladies' offerings first and decided they weren't as heavy as I wanted, according to reviews. So, I checked this one out. The only glitch was I should have called for the finished measurements prior to ordering because it is very generous. However, sizing down was easy with a simple return. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Wonderful quality. The material is very substantial and so soft on the inside. I appreciate how the lettering is like monogram stitching, not painted on. It will last for years. Well done, LL Bean! I'm hooked and will be back for others. Please don't change a thing.
I love sweatshirts, but I am ADDICTED to L.L. Bean sweatshirts. I wear these ALL weekend from early fall to early spring in Iowa. I now own 10 of these and will continue to buy new styles and colors as they become available, they are that good. These are heavy, soft, and they FIT!!!! I am 6'3" and range from 190 to 205 pounds, so the XL tall is perfect for me (but I like my sweatshirts baggy, the L tall would fit perfect as well).
If you like to live in sweatshirts during the cool / cold weather months do yourself a favor and buy this sweatshirt.
the new logo sweatshirt is big and roomy, beautiful looking and the letters closely match the satin on my highschool dress top for my deathalon uniform. I won the state championship in the decatalon and llbean is a champion too!!! I really like the look and the color and fit. you have to get one of these in your self!!!
