I took a chance (based on reviews) that I would like this. We've had a VERY cold winter in Florida this year and my husband has no warm weather, casual wear (he does have LLBean flannels and chamois and undies that he wears to work). So, I ordered one for him and one for me. I LOVE this sweatshirt. It's perfect. I usually wear a ladies medium so I ordered a mens small. I can't say enough about it. I love the length of the sleeves (long), the weight (heavy enough to be warm but not bulky in any way) and the overall fit. Looks great with jeans and super comfy. Oh yeah, my husband likes his, too!!!
This sweatshirt is soft, warm, and sturdy. It does not shrink very much after you wash it but it does shrink a little. The only problem I have experienced is the lettering and numbers (i.e., L.L. Bean and 1912) are unraveling/fraying after the first wash. The reason I gave this product a 4 start rating was for the fraying problem. I am not really interested in whether or not it is on the sweatshirt but if it is going to be there then it should not detract from the sweatshirt - especially after just one wash. The sweatshirt itself is good, warm, and comfortable.
A classic sweatshirt - fits great - looks great and the detail and craftsmanship is outstanding. A company that not only makes a great product, but stands by it in every way. When I ordered the item, it was back-ordered - just after the holidays, I was told what day it would be available, which was a Sunday three weeks down the road. Not only did it become available that exact day, but was shipped out that day and at my door two days later. EXCELLENT - product through service
