Got this sweatshirt in the mail today. I did try it on even though it was hotter than heck w/it on. I wanted to try out the fit, as I'm a female who purchased it for myself. I'm a woman's size 12.........160 lb./5'5". I got the Size M, as it was a man's sweatshirt. I did wash it already and it came out fine. I like the fact that the "LL BEAN"on the sweatshirt is embroidered on it and not painted on. The sleeves did run a tad long......but not a problem. I can turn them up. It's a heavier sweatshirt than the others from various places, I have. So this is nice! I'm sure I'll be able to wear this in the fall under a vest or alone pending the weather conditions. It is of great quality; well made.....more so for the sale price I purchased it for and the weekend discount, I couldn't go wrong w/this at all!!!! It will also make for a nice warm top to wear to bed in winter months.................
This is the perfect sweatshirt! I got a large, and it is big on me. I am a medium woman. I prefer large and comfy in these kinds of clothes. This will be my go-to sweatshirt. I like that it announces the 100th anniversary of LLBean since I have been a fan of the company for many years.
The cut of this sweatshirt is such that the waist is just as wide as the shoulders. It also lacks adequate elasticity in the waistband which gives this garment a rather sloppy fit.
The material is at best medium weight and does not have as tight a weave as some other expensive sweats, such a s the Katahdin Iron Works
