Very disappointed in this hat as should have a velcro strap under the chin instead of that crazy strap as no way one can strap it with gloves on or if want to open it. Big waste of money and used it once and couldn't get the strap closed when outside and doubt if wear the cap again as it would not stay on my head, maybe got to small a head. Keeps sliding over the face all the time. Not worth the price much better to just wear a stocking cap. Thanks for listening. Jack Q
My husband loves his new hat!! We live in WI where we have more than average snow and low temperatures. This will keep his 80 year old head warm as toast as he snowblows the snow from our sidewalks and driveway. The only thing that kept this from a 5 star rating is that one of the little brass grommets was broken so the leather chin strap wasn't secure. I used carpet thread and and sewed some stitches so the strap could still be used. I then used my hot glue gun to put the top part of the grommet back on for looks. We wished this hadn't happened but will continue to look to LLBean for good winter gear.

I definitely recommend this hat, and I would buy it again. It keeps me warm, and that is very important to me. It's an attractive hat, and feels luxurious. LL Bean gear is of the highest quality in my experience, so this hat will last me a long time. The only negative is, I wish it wasn't lined with real rabbit fur because I like rabbits, but it is nice fur.
