The openings for the ears are fastened with a button and loop closure. Very annoying and impossible to use without taking gloves off. Why not velcro? Also, the rabbit fur sheds constantly and was in my mouth and nose all the time. Finally, the interior of the hat is mostly smooth nylon or polyester, with rabbit fur only at the edges. This is cold to put on if the hat has been sitting outside or in your car. Overall I was very disappointed and returned this hat.
