This hat is great for cold New England, and other cold places, winters. It is perfect at keeping your head warm. It does this with a real fur lining. Note, for some unexplained reason the women's hat only comes with fake fur. If you want true warmth, you want the real fur, and to get the real you must buy the man's hat.
Everyone in my family has one of these hats. They are the greatest hat that you will ever put on your head to stay warm in. I tell everyone I know to get one, And what a great value too !!
Here in Oklahoma, winter winds can be brutal. My son walks the dog early in the morning, just before dawn. He is less grumpy about it with his new hat.
The hat is all we expected from LL Bean with one exception. The fur trim was apparently not tanned properly, so it constantly sheds everywhere which is a bother. However, the hat is warm, looks and fits well.
