these are like stepping into a warm cloud. love the look. love the experience, they're even easing plantar fasciitis pain. can't say enough good things. i was hesitant about the cost, worth every penny, and this is from a penny pincher.
43 years ago my mother bought me a pair of moose hide, shearling lined slippers from LLBean. They are still with me but in less than perfect condition. She just bought me my 2nd pair of LLBean slippers. These double soled bison hide slippers are every bit as comfortable as my moose hides. I cannot attest to their longevity but the quality is visible and they fit like a glove. I'll have my son report on their life span as I am sure they will outlast me.
I've owned two pairs of these over the past 5-6 years. I wear them inside (mostly tile, some carpet and hardwoods) and I've worn them plenty outside as well (garage, driveway to mail box, car, etc., and as driving shoes on trips). I've had a great experience with them. A little formal until worn-in, but very comfortable. The price is inching up but the longevity I've enjoyed makes the cost quite reasonable when averaged out over the years. I'm sure some will not find what they were looking/hoping for in a house shoe but for me they have been comfortable, versatile and have served me well.
I've owned mine for upwards of 18 years, they recently started to develop holes in the sole but my gait is screwed up and I wear shoes out in six months. I wear these indoors and out, though I'm careful to keep them as dry as possible. I have started patching the holes with duct tape and that keeps them from getting worse, but I definitely think it's time for a new pair. I hope they wear as well as the old ones!
