These slippers are beautifully crafted and of high quality throughout. I purchased them 6 or 7 years ago with the idea that being double soled, they would last a lifetime. I think the outers would have, but the lining does tend to break down over time, developing thin spots and eventually wearing through to the outer layer. I ordered a size 12 and they were always a little bit tight feeling due to the heavy thickness of the lining. I recently ordered the leather lined version of this slipper. They fit more loosely and are better fitted to my foot. I think I will be much happier with the non-lined version.
Took these slippers out of the box this morning and they are great. After reading reviews on sizing ordered the size smaller since I wear a half size. Glad I did, they fit a little snug, but can tell they will stretch in nicely. A little difficult to put on at first but discovered you must untie and pull back on rawhide strip around slipper, this loosens the entire foot area, and can retie to comfortable fit. Sole a bit slippery at first on carpet, so be careful on carpeted steps, but great on tile surfaces. Just what I was looking for since I have some serious back issues that causes me to trip on carpet with nylon /rubber soled slippers. These were just what I was looking for. Highly recommend them.
Decided to get a gift for myself after mulling over these slippers for a long while. The leather is top quality and really molds to your foot after some breaking in.
Leather soles are comfortable but slippery on a wet kitchen floor.
I'm on the site today to purchase another pair.I tend to do this when I really like a product, as at times, the manuf. discontinues a product I really like.I found this slipper to be extremely comfortable and very attractive. The feature most pleasing to me is the cushion afforded, because of the sole design. In short I really like them.
