Quality on these is excellent. Mine have held up for a number of years. My only complaint is that they do not sell different widths in these. If your feet are wide, you are in luck because these fit VERY wide. The size seems true but they are wider that any other pair of my shoes. Part of it is that they are shearling-lined and this adds to the width. To me, the wide width makes it so I can only wear them as a slipper and never for errands because I am never sure if they'll stay on my feet. Go with the unlined (leather) if your feet are average to narrow width because they are much more "standard width."
These leather slippers have one major flaw: they do not breathe. They have foam padding sewn between the two leather layers. The foam is impervious to water and therefore the slippers left me with hot, sweaty feet -- very uncomfortable. The shoes were unusable to me.
Otherwise, they have excellent features: nice appearance, excellent leather and well stitched.
I bought a pair about 10-12 years ago from Bean that were of a very similar style. They were great - didn't have the foam layer. I wore them until they wore out - a long time. Unfortunately, Bean doesn't sell that style anymore.
By far the best article of clothing [from head to toe] I have ever worn. It might seem like a lot to spend on slippers, but this is a superior product. It is like being a little kid again and wearing a baseball glove - on your feet. Everyone in the world should own a pair.
I purchased my first pair of Lined, Double-Leather Soled slippers for myself about 4yrs ago. I have not worked since 1999 so whenever I'm home - which is at least 60% of the time, these slippers are on my feet. I Do wear them outdoors(unless it's very wet or snowy); even on short errands, etc. Many times I find myself in the car ready to leave & realize I never put shoes on! These are a great value, even for me since I'm rather poor; but, ALL of the LLBean items I've bought over the years are STILL in great shape! That is just 1 reason that I splurge on their products whenever I can(or need something I'm Certain will last long). These are just perfect; and, a pleasure to wear.
