I bought the trundle with the daybed about 7 years ago for a spare bedroom. It conveniently offers extra sleeping space that easily slides under the daybed when not it use so that it's out of sight and out of the way. My only complaint is that it can sometimes be difficult to raise into the upright position. Otherwise, it's very sturdy and well made.
Stable.Sturdy.Item as described. We ordered two. Second one took longer to arrive shipped from factory, not LL Bean location--we called Bean to follow up on it as it was taking too long. They did follow up promptly. Ideal bed rolled out and not popped up for little kids sleeping over. Great for their parents in the popped up position. Very rolly, but that's okay. Easy to set up. We didn't get a daybed yet just the trundles -- they all are closed in on 3 sides and most adults wouldn't want to be that trapped sleeping in a bed, especially with the other set up next to it, plus I didn't find any covers that fit it neatly with the sides closed in and it used as a piece of furniture not against a wall lengthwise. Would like to get spouse to make a bed without the ends and side enclosed. Also, thse sides are pretty high and look uncomfortable to reach over to a nightstand.
We are quite satisfied with this trundle. We bought it with the cottage daybed for our girls' bedroom, to make the best use of our space. It rolls out very smoothly...which was important to us because it will be used daily for many years.
