I was very disappointed in the thin flannel material used in the newer version of the vintage nightgown. I own three of the older ones and these are not the same at all. I will be sending my new one back. So I am very disappointed, because this was my Christmas present to myself ! ! !
I was not impressed with this nightgown when I removed it from the package. It was very wrinkled and the fabric did not look soft. I decided it might look better if I washed it. I am glad I made that decision, because it did improve it's appearance and the texture of the fabric. I have worn it several nights and like it very much. It is more comfortable and better quality than the department store flannels I have previously worn. The availibility of the petite size was a bonus for me since I am 5'2".
I was very sad to see thats this nightgown was not flannel, or flannel as I remember it to be. It is 100 % cotton, and very very thin. I bought it for an 85 yr old woman, who needs to be kept warm, and this does not do that. It's just way to thin!!
I love it! The fit is generous in the sleeves and that makes it comfortable for sleeping. Heavy weight cloth is good if you dont want to always wear a robe. Ordered one for my daughter too! It has been a long time since I found a nightgown I like as much. Most stores have knits and I am not a fan of their light fabric. Thank you ll bean.
