ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, not your granny's gown
I have now bought 4 of these over the years--they are absolutely the best! Soft, warm, roomy, and excellent quality. I am normally a Bean L, but prefer the XL for sleep comfort and shrinkage wiggle room. Love the long, to the ankle length (I'm 5'6") and the pleated bodice for hiding cold weather "pop ups." These gowns usually last me about 3-4 years so the price is reasonable for the wear. And thank you, LLBean, for no lace or ruffles, this is elegant without being too foo-foo. Sure would love to see this gown in darker solid colors like purple, navy, or teal since I'm not a fan of dressing in pastels, pink, or baby blue, but I guess once I'm asleep it doesn't matter.
my husband purchased the nightgown in red as a gift a few years ago, I really am sad when it it in the laundry so this year I purchased a second one. They say this winter will be cold.it is comfortable and long enough to keep my legs warm
Two years ago I bought these as gifts. Last year I went to buy them again but they sold out too quickly. My mom lives in Conn and simply loves them. They wash wonderfully and still look as good as new two years old. You might think they are expensive but it is worth every penny.
I feel like a dream when wearing my vintage falnnel nightgown. It is roomy, but flattering and pretty enough to almost be a ball gown. Washes beautifully. So soft and when I crawl into bed my legs do not feel the cold sheets. I love it.
