This nightgown is gorgeous! One of the most attractive nightgowns I've ever had. And well made. I will be wearing it on nights that aren't too chilly. I bought both this and the tartan flannel, and the LL Bean rep said they were the exact same fabric density. So I was surprised to receive them and find that the tartan is clearly thicker and warmer. I even called LL Bean to clarify that I did not misunderstand. Another rep repeated the fabric is identical. Certainly has me doubting my sanity. Because there is a clear difference. But I'm not returning either because I like both. And I can use nightgowns for different seasons. But you may want to keep this in mind...
I LOVE this nightgown! In fact, I'm wearing it right now as I write this. I love the fact that it's large. I don't like sleeping in clingy night wear so this is perfect. The material is not too heavy and it holds up well after washing. It actually is softer, cozier with repeated use/washing. I love it so much, I bought the blue, cranberry and scotch plaid. I use all year with the exception of the really hot summer months.
love the style, warm red color wonderful detailing--be warned, this garment runs very large, lots of extra fabric--I took in the seams 21/2 " on each side and still is too big!! should have bought small or medium instead of large- did not want to pay $6.20 return postage. (5'6", 125 #)
Beautiful soft fabric that washed/dried nicely, no fading or shrinkage. I bought the same style/fabric years ago; love the nightgown so treated myself to a new one in the cranberry color--the old one is still in great shape and very soft with much wear and washings. The days when I don't get 'dressed' this gown is perfect--warm and comfortable.
