I've worn these nightgowns for years. They are roomy and long enough so that they cover your feet if curled up in bed. This year the fabric weight/density is less than usual. But it is warm enough. The past fabrics has stood up to years of repeated washing.
I was surprised at the detailing, it's simply beautiful! If you love redwork needlepoint, the red dobby is for you! I did have to fix where the seamstress accidentally got a piece of material stuck in the seam while sewing, but since I'm an avid sewer, it was an easy fix. I love that it's very long which is how I think nightgowns should be. (I have the tartan plaid nightgown and feel it's a bit short, I'm 5'5")
If you simply want to feel ultimate sleeping comfort, you have to get this gown; Soft, breathable cotton with no added lace or bindings to disrupt your sleep. Is it sexy? No way! But after you wake up fully rested in this wonderful cotton garment, you will look and feel a lot sexier during your daytime hours. A great buy!
